IFTTT helps you to automate your business processes
On more than one occasion we we talked about IFTTT , an online service that allows us to connect different services in which we have a presence (Facebook, Twitter, Dropbox, Google Drive, Evernote, etc..) to automate processes and make let us be more productive.
But as we demonstrate in the Open Forum of American Express , imagination is the limit. IFTTT can not only help us to improve our personal productivity, it can improve many of our business processes. To demonstrate this, we propose the following "recipes".
If it's hot, you need a beer
One of the major variables that can play on IFTTT, is time. At a certain weather conditions, we can respond with concrete action. For example, imagine that we have a bar. For in this case we can determine that if the outside temperature exceeds 30 degrees, a tweet on our account that says something like "Today is very hot, why do not you come in and take a nice cold? Beer" is published.

If you receive an order, make a note in your spreadsheet
If we are self-contained or may micropyme everything we need to manage our business, whether a solution like Google Apps. As such, the following recipe can resultarnos IFTTT quite interesting. Basically what it does is look in our Gmail inbox, mail whose subject contains words like "receipt" or "order", adding the result to a calculation in Google Drive.
Spanish speakers can edit this recipe, changing the "receipt" or "order" for others who may be more in line with our company, such as "Order" values. It may not be the ideal system to manage our orders, but it's certainly an original idea to organize this type of information.
It is easier to organize a contest on Twitter
Many competitions are organized to Twitter, often followers propose to participate following a hashtag.Although there are professional tools that can help us later to manage all information generated by our followers a very simple way is to use the following recipe.
In determining the hashtag that interests us continue our contest (or any other social media share), the application searches Twitter any message that contains it, translating the result into a Google spreadsheet.
Happy Birthday!
If you have been diligent enough to point you in Google Calendar birthday of our employees, special customers, partners, etc.. this recipe will stay better than anyone. If our company organizes or participates in a number of events, you may not have time / want to announce them on Facebook. The thing however we can change if there is a way to have this done automatically.
If events have been previously entered in Google Calendar, this recipe IFTTT are automatically published to Facebook when the event is about to start (or when we want, and we can set its parameters)
