Resizing icons for iOS smart 8
The designer Jay Machalani has published an interesting video where we can see a conceptual design iOS 8 with smart icons that could "turn into widgets" to our will. Under the name of information blocks this imaginative function, as we can see in the video allows us to enlarge the icons doing the classic gesture of "pinch to zoom" (click to enlarge) is presented. After this gesture the chosen icon would grow in size and show additional information quickly , returning to its normal size around drop, which eliminates the need to enter and exit using the home button. At first glance, the result is very attractive and does, in fact, meet a major functional deficiency of Apple's mobile operating system without breaking the aesthetics of it and providing a nice visual addition.
